Josie has spent more than fifteen years in nursing and elder care, working across hospitals, memory care units, and private homes throughout Washington State. In 2018, she opened Harmony Place with a simple but powerful mission: to create a space where seniors could feel truly at home — surrounded by warmth, familiarity, and genuine love.
“I've seen the difference between a place that just meets basic needs and a home that truly nurtures the soul,” Josie says. “At Harmony Place, we aim to be the latter for every single resident.”
Josie was inspired to open Harmony Place after caring for her own grandmother, who spent her final years in a large institutional facility. Determined to offer something better, she earned her Adult Family Home license and poured years of caregiving experience into creating Harmony Place.
Outside of her caregiving work, Josie loves gardening, cooking traditional Filipino dishes — many of which make their way to the dinner table at Harmony Place — and spending time with her family.
